Nordica is the state-owned Estonian flag carrier, operating scheduled flights as well as on wet-lease contracts on behalf of PLL LOT Polish Airlines.

The company was founded on 25 September 2015 by the decision of the Estonian Government, following the bankruptcy and liquidation of the previous national carrier, Estonian Air.

Since most of the flights are marketed by LOT Polish Airlines, which owns 49% of the shares, Nordica regular flights currently use the flight codes and callsign of LOT, except for flights to Russia.
