Description
Use this Mod Template to bring your own face into the simulator and/or change the colors of the clothing.
Unzip the Folder “ZZZZ ….” into the community Folder. You can then actually change the name of this folder, but don´t touch the names of the files and folders within.
Navigate to (MOD Foldername/SimOjects/Humans/Texture and open the respective Head file for your gender and phenotype. You need software that can open DDS files, for instance, freeware like paint.net or gimp. Add your face/photo as a second layer and make the layer multiplicative so you can arrange your face over the original. Then merge the layers and save the dds file (BC7 sRGB).

- Find the Community folder on your computer
- Windows – C:/Users/[Computer Name]/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/Packages/Community
- Steam – C:/Users/[Computer Name]/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.FlightDashboard_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/Packages/Community
- Copy the downloaded file to your Community folder like this: /Community/[MOD FOLDER]/[MOD FILES]
- Launch the game and enjoy your mod!

This worked and it’s a nice personal touch to the game! It’s important to save as DDS, not to save as PNG and later rename the extension. However I can’t make out much of my facial features because the in-game model uses large sunglasses, headphones with mic and a cap. Also, the model in the menu is not affected by the mod, so the only way to test is to start a flight.
Are you updated to SU9 while using this mod? I can’t seem to get it to work with the SU9 update. It worked fine in the last version.
Well I’m able to change the clothes I noticed but not the face
